How to make Sugar-free Dry fruit Ladoos

With winter coming, our body becomes more prone to cold, cough and other respiratory track infections. This mainly happens due to low immunity. We need to take more care of our body by regular exercise, healthy diet and healthy lifestyle.

Having dry fruits helps in building the immune system as they are rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and essential oils. Moreover it provides warmth to our body in winters. I have seen my mother making those scrumptious ladoos during our childhood and still she is following it. With every winter I look forward desperately for my share of ladoos.

This old tradition of making winter ladoos is followed in most parts of India. Only thing has changed is the way of preparing them by the new generation because we have become more health and diet conscious. But the main root of tradition is still preserved.

  • Now mix all the powder in a bowl. Initially it will be very dry and hard to bind and looks some what like this as shown below

  • For that divide the mixture into 2 or 4 portion depending on the size of mixer jar and grind each portions of the mixture for 2 minutes. This will generate heat and the release some oil from the dry fruits & nuts which will make the mixture more homogenous and provide binding. As you can see the difference in the pictures shown below.

  • Once all the mixture is grinded, mix once again with hand.
  • Now the mixture is ready for making ladoos. Roll into small size ladoos.
